'ENERGY' - a word very known, very familiar, used and spoken very often - but very little has been thought about it by individuals in their day to day life. Let us pause for a moment and see what this ENERGY is?

Energy guides the Cosmos, the Universe and everything in and around us. There are three types of energies- Positive energy, Negative energy and Neutral energy.

Everything, in this world possesses all the three types of energy.

For e.g.: In the Hindu mythology, there are three gods - Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh.

The Atom has three parts - Proton, Neutron and Electron.

Ayurveda, talks about three types of reactions in the human body - Vaat, Pitt and Cough.

For that matter what is the reason behind chanting mantra using a MALA or bead string?

When the beads move within the fingertips unknowingly the pituitary glands and hypothalamus are being exercised thereby keeping the body healthy. It helps to create a balance among all these three energies. By creating so 'Peace' which is the ultimate goal of all Dharma or religion is achieved.

Imbalance of these energies creates various mental and physical problems in the human body. One of the major problems of today’s man is ‘Stress’. This is the most talked about word of today’s world and we all are very familiar with this term.

Any type of change that causes physical, emotional or psychological strain on our system or our body is termed as stress. It sets an alarm in the brain, which in turn prepares the body for defensive action. Hormones are released as the nervous system is aroused, this sharpens the senses, deepens the respiration, the pulse rate goes up and the muscles become tense. This response is a defence mechanism by the body as it helps one against threatening situations. Everyone responds in a similar manner when confronted with a stressful situation, whatever the type of stress may be.

Stress starts very early in a person's life. Right from the time of seeking admission in a play school to graduating from school, looking for jobs, job stress, family stress, road stress, emotional stress and the list goes on endlessly. This stress cumulates as the person grows up resulting in various types of biological, emotional and psychological problems.

If the stressful situation goes unresolved the NEGATIVE INFLUENCE can result in feelings of distrust, rejection, anger, depression etc. and the biological damage to the body is more.

It can lead to health problems such as head ache, upset stomach, rashes, insomnia, ulcers, hypertension, heart disease and stroke.

As a POSITIVE INFLUENCE it can make you aware of a new situation or give you a new outlook and / or a different and positive perspective to a given situation. THIS IS WHERE WE COME TO YOUR HELP. To help you have a totally new outlook to deal with your stress/es and manage it.
